On November 17, 2022, the Third Student Congress of the School of Grammar and Law of Taiyuan University of Technology was held in the Moot Court. Prof. Li Yongfu LI, Xuanning ZHANG, and student representatives of all grades attended the conference, which was hosted by Xiaorui LAN.
At the preparatory meeting of the Congress, all the deputies voted to approve the list of the presidium of the Congress, the list of the Secretary-General of the Congress, the Report of the Qualification Examination Committee on the Qualification Examination of delegates, the draft of the election Methods of the Congress, the list of the supervisor and the agenda of the Congress, and discussed the matters for attention of the formal meeting.
The dean of Yongfu LI delivered an opening speech. He started by extending warm congratulations on the opening of the conference and a warm welcome to the representatives. He emphasized that this congress plays an important role in arousing the initiative of young students in our college, perfecting the Student Union's self-construction and the function of serving students. And it's of great significance in promoting the student affairs in our college to a new level.
Jingge LI delivered the report on the Student Union of the this College in the 2021-2022 academic year. She pointed out that the Student Union should work based on the students and provide services to the students. In addition, she summed up the outstanding achievements made by the Student Union in aspects of ideological and political education, prosperity of campus culture , dedicated services to the youth, the strengthening of self-construction and so on in the past year which made contributions to the construction of the Student Union.
62 student representatives then voted to approve the list of the overall vote-counters and vote-counters for the election campaign. The host introduced four candidates for the presidium of the Student Union of the College, including Jiaying LIU , Zexu NIU etc., as well as nine candidates for representatives.
Mr. Xuanning ZHANG made a resolution on the work report of the Presidium of the Conference, and adopted the work report of the College of Humanities and Law Student Union for the 2021-2022 academic year to the General Assembly made by Jinge LI.
The convening of this conference plays an important role in mobilizing and playing the enthusiasm of young students and strengthening the fighting role of the backbone team of students.
