The Research Center for Grassroots Social Governance (think tank) of Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT) is an academic research, decision-making consultation and practical innovation promotion institution jointly participated by experts and scholars who have been engaged in grassroots social governance for a long time, and committed to promoting the innovation and reform of grassroots social governance in Shanxi Province. The think tank is based on senior team of experts, with concept innovation as the forerunner, with profound theoretical basis and practical experience as the background, based on field investigation and research, in view of the local governments at all levels in Shanxi Province at the grassroots encountered in the process of social governance of hot, suspicion and difficult problems, such as to provide professional and efficient decision-making basis and solutions.

The Research Center for Grassroots Social Governance (think tank) has established stable cooperative relations with the County-level Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Public Administration, Shanxi Think Tank Association, Jincheng People's Government, Taiyuan Development and Reform Commission, and some charitable foundations.
